Azienda Agricola Faraone is still family-run company since 1916, the year when it set up in its current location. In the 30s, the company planted its first vineyards of Montepulciano, Sangiovese and Passerina.
In 1970, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo was the first wine to be bottled on the estate.
In 1973, the farm made its first spumante (sparkling wine) by classic method. Today the total output is of 60,000 bottles divided into two separate style productions, a spumante and two liquorous wines.
In 2000 the company bought a new 7ha property situated in Collepietro, within the municipal district of Mosciano SA, known as a premium wine growing area.
