Like many other midsummer festivities, this thanksgiving festivity has a strong rural connotation.
It celebrates the thaumaturgical qualities of the Pilgrim of Montpellier (14th century) who first cured the plague and once this terrible disease had been beat, became the protector of incurable ulcerous illnesses.
The celebration takes place on the 16th of August in the beautiful baroque church dedicated to the Saint. It includes a procession, a band concert and the traditional rural fair.
