The museum of Material Culture was created in 1987 on initiative of the population of Montepagano and with the help of the publicist Luigi Braccili; it is set up as an actual “peasant dwelling” divided into different environments.
The exhibition of equipments, work tools and accessories of the daily rural life allows to discover the rituals and traditions of the material rural culture. The dining room is furnished with late 18th -century furniture, plate services, bottle and glass collections, while pans, copperware, boilers and coffee machines are exposed in the kitchen.
In the bedroom a splendid trousseau with bridal dress and a late 19th century "di riuscita" garment can be admired.
