The Museum is the main seat of the entire net of museums of Teramo. As such it is connected to the various archaeological sites (the Roman theatre, the amphitheatre, the domus of Torre Bruciata, the Domus del Leone, the largo Madonna delle Grazie complex...) and to all the museums of Teramo.
The exhibitions are divided into two sections:

In the ground floor section the history of the city is illustrated; testimonies of the origins of the city and of its development from the Roman Ages to the Middle Ages are exposed. Further materials on that subject are exposed on the third floor.

Set up on the upper floor, the second section is dedicated to the Province of Teramo. Here are gathered the testimonies of the ager Praetutianus, dating from the prehistorical to Roman times as well as the late-mediaeval and Renaissance materials.
