St Reparata’s Church is a beautiful example of neoclassic-style in architecture. It was dedicated to the patroness saint and attached to the cathedral, on the right. The design was by Giovanni Battista Gianni from Milan (1704-1741). Internally you can admire a wooden ciborium with spiral columns, once to be found above the cathedral’s high altar.

This artwork by Carlo Riccioni - who took thirteen years to complete it, from 1677 to 1690 - shows a clear resemblance with the one in bronze that can be seen in St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican (in fact Riccioni was one of Lorenzo Bernini’s disciples).
