The long sandy beaches of Alba Adriatica, over 15 km of cycle and roller lanes and an enchanting night life, which place this sea resort among the most popular on the coast of Teramo, attract every year 30 to 50 thousand tourists.
With its characteristic silver colour, the beach is one of the most beautiful of the entire Abruzzo Riviera . Nearly one hundred meters wide, it stretches over three kilometres while its sandy seabed gently dives into an astonishing sea.
The famous promenade of Alba Adriatica spreads for three kilometres along the seafront; this oasis of palm trees, pines and oleanders is perfect for relaxing while riding a bicycle or jogging. At night the promenade is an ideal setting for meeting friends ans enjoying together the atmosphere of this small town walking through market stalls, stopping in outdoor ice-cream dealers and dancing to the music of bungalows and outdoor discos.
Alba Adriatica not only means sun and fun but also history, culture and tradition.
The torre di Alba Adriatica, a tower most likely built in 1500 to keep the coast under surveillance, is surely worth a visit. The numerous “Aristocratic Villas”, such as the neoclassical eighteenth-century “Villa Chiarugi”, the early twentieth-century “Villa Gianluca Palma” and “Villa Zanini”, once summer residences of noble families, represent today a valuable historical and architectonic heritage for this small town.
