Nature, art, culture and relaxation, One always searches for a vacation area which above all, guarantees quality. This element of quality is what makes the Adriatic Riviera on the Teramano coastline really worth your while. With it’s golden sandy beaches and limpid waters Teramo’s Adriatic coast is a genuine representation of the unique geological formation of the Adriatic.

The Adriatic Riviera in the province of Teramo is comprised of seven cities nestled along the coast, about 60 km long: Martinsicuro, Alba Adriatica, Tortoreto, Giulianova, Roseto degli Abruzzi, Pineto and Silvi. These “seven sisters” are always ready to welcome you with the beauty and cleanliness of its beaches (which boast seven “Blue Flag” awards) and the excellence of their hospitality services.

The Teramo coastline offers a complete and varied vacation package which designates it as the most important attraction of Abruzzo. This preeminence is confirmed by the average annual attendance figures which show that 70% of those who choose Abruzzo as their destination, favor this area of the Adriatic above everywhere else. The secret of this success is due to both the guardianship over, and diversification of the seaside services comprising of hotels, residences, camp sites and villages. Along with these establishments, we must add the beach resorts, always well equipped with sport areas and choice restaurants. And then, let’s not forget the innumerable dance clubs, pubs, disco-bars, Water Park, go-cart track, and horse(dude) ranches, all of which complete a tourist package that can thoroughly satisfy the demands of a younger crowd, who yearn for a livelier nightlife.

Each of these towns have jam-packed schedules of cultural events, which include- thanks to the collaboration of numerous hillside hamlets and villages- wine and food festivals that allow visitors to discover the innumerable local, traditional culinary products and craft ware during the span of the entire holiday season, and even more.

Even though the emphasis of the Teramo coastline is on the maritime tourism, there is also a great deal for those seeking closer contact with nature. If a natural location is what you prefer it’s sufficient enough to visit the untouched beach area between Giulianova and Roseto degli Abruzzi, which has been left devoid of the usual trappings ; and let’s not forget, the area of Pineto, characterized by the imposing presence of the majestic Mediterranean Wild Pine.

Here the vacationer will find a fascinating mix of Pristine nature and ancient monuments which tell of man’s age old struggle to defend his land.

Such is the case of “Cerrano” beach, in the town of Pineto, in which the juxtaposition of an ancient guard against a pristine beach gives the area a remarkable appeal of its own. The “ancient port of Cerrano” was, in fact, part of a bigger defense system of watchtowers built by the Spanish in the 16th century and it extends from the Trigno to the Tronto rivers. You can find traces of it in Martinsicuro (The Tower of Charles 5th) and in Alba Adriatica (the Torrione).

Indeed, this is a witness to all the artistic and cultural richness which the Teramo Riviera can offer.
