From Crognaleto ride down the asphalted provincial road S.P.45 towards Valle Vaccaro-Cervaro.

Once past the intersection for Valle Vaccaro continue downhill past the intersection in Aprati until the suburb of Cervaro.

Go beyond the intersection for Frattoli (fountain) the road goes up towards Cesacastina. Once in the village turn right after an old school where the dirt road starts. The path leads up to “Prati delle Macchie” where you will find a shelter for sheep.

Turn right at the intersection, around the shelter thus leaving it behind you on your right. The dirt road goes uphill until it reaches the highest point of the route at a landslide. From this point on the path is almost flat and leads through the woods to Colle della Pietra; ride further down the dirt road until you meet the asphalted road again at the intersection for Altovia.

Turn left on the asphalted road which goes up and down all the way to Altovia (at an altitude of 1183 m). From Altovia follow the asphalted road until the intersection with the provincial road SP. 45, turn right in direction of Crognaleto where le loop ends.
