Bordering the Marche, Martinsicuro is the first of the “sette sorelle”, the “seven sisters”, the visitor  encounters along the shore of the province of Teramo. Martinsicuro is a modern sea resort equipped with all necessary shopping and tourist structures. As the presence of the two biotopes of Martinisicuro and Villa Rosa testify, the attention for vegetation and nature represents one of the town's main asset and these reserves count among the first examples of reconstitution of a dune environment in Abruzzo.

From the seashore, we now move towards the historical center of the town, dominated by its Torrione di Carlo V (1500's). Inside, the new Antiquarium di Castrum Truentinum, where important traces of ancient villages from the bronze age are shown.
