Itinerary: Teramo, Tordino River Park (to be crossed going downhill), Municipal Dog Pound in Villa Pavone, cross the Tordino on a bridge of cement tubes, go on State road 80 towards Giulianova, turn left near the old D’Antonio pasta factory, climb uphill towards Colleatterrato Alto (before reaching the top of the hill take the road to Varano on the right), reach Varano and cross the town going towards Nepazzano. At the first intersection (where you’ll see a cross) turn left towards Pagannoni and then downhill until the paved road Piane Canfora. From here keep going until Villa Falchini, down to San Nicolò a Tordino. Take the state road 80 towards Teramo and turn at the intersection to Val Vibrata. Just after the intersection turn right and pass under the Fiumicino bridge, then continue following a canal and after passing under an overpass (the Teramo-Sea highway, State Road 80 bis) and a small bridge on the Tordino river you’ll start to go uphill on the dirt road Masseria Zaraca, Secciola. Continue in the direction of Poggio San Vittorino, where on a dirt road, take the turn to the right just before the town. You’ll arrive just under the intersection of Poggio S. Vittorino, take the downhill right turn, after the Cerulli farm and take a downhill dirt road that descends near the sport fishing lake Il Ciliegio.

This fun downhill run will bring you to the asphalted road where you’ve already passed. From here return back to the River park and then to Teramo.

Best period to bike: all year
