This is a well-known Gothic-style church of the 15th century, erected just outside Campli’s historic centre, close to the fourteenth- century Porta Angioina, the town’s eastern gate.

A pointed arch portal stands out from the plain and bare façade, outlined by a bulging rounded frame known as torus, and two lunettes.

The church’s ground plan presents two straight-ending naves, identical in width and length. Two ample wide round arches separate the naves. Fifteenth-century frescos adorn the church’s interior, as well as gilt wood altars in classical style of the latter half of the16th century.

Among the other church’s artworks there are two ædicular frames flanking the entrance on either side, two Crucifixes and a Madonna with Child in terracotta. In addition, there is a canvas depicting the Pietas attributed to Paolo De Matteis - one of the most representative of the seventeenth-century painting of southern Italy -, a stone holy water stoup with a crest and a christening font with bas-relief tiles. Finally, the ceiling too is notable for its geometric pattern decorations that remind of a starred sky.
